Gorilla Works is a trade name of Exteriors Design Contractors, Inc., a family-owned exterior company that has worked in the Portland area for more than 20 years. Exteriors Design also does commercial exterior work. Gorilla Works was set up to bring that same standard to homeowners: fence installation, window installation and siding installation. Alvin Tishenko runs it day to day.
Our office is at 19140 NE Portal Way in Portland. We are licensed in Oregon (CCB #198186) and registered in Washington (L&I EXTERDC884PP), and you can check both numbers on the state sites. More than 100 fences our team built around Portland are over 20 years old and still standing.
We install and replace. We do not do repair-only jobs or roofing, so every crew we send is a full-install crew.
Three trades, one crew standard. Here is what we put on your house and the specifics behind each one.
We put in Milgard vinyl and C700 fiberglass windows that cut drafts and heat loss and hold up to Pacific Northwest rain. Most window jobs are installed 3 to 4 weeks after you order. We install Milgard patio doors too.
Window Installation
We install James Hardie fiber cement siding. It is non-combustible and resists moisture, rot and pests, and most Hardie products carry a 30-year limited warranty, plus 15 years on the ColorPlus factory finish.
Siding Installation
Our crews install wood, vinyl, chain link and steel fencing. Wood fences get Grade 1 cedar and stainless fasteners on heavy-duty posts. Most quality fences run $7,000 to $20,000 per 100 feet.

You get one price in writing. For windows it names the exact Milgard series. For fences it shows the package you picked, so you can compare it line by line.
Fences can start in as little as 3 days, with tear-out and haul-away of the old fence priced per foot on your written estimate. Windows go in 3 to 4 weeks after you order, usually in one to two days on site.
We walk the finished job with you and give you the warranty in writing. Fence gates get free adjustment for the first year.

We set heavy-duty pressure-treated posts rated for ground contact in concrete, or PostMaster steel posts made from G90 galvanized steel with a lifetime warranty.
Stainless steel nails and fasteners on every cedar install, at no extra charge. Regular steel nails can rust and leave dark streaks on cedar.
Through Service Finance: no interest and no payments for 12 months, or low monthly payments from $20 a month. All financing is subject to credit approval. Rates, terms and payments may vary based on credit.
We tear out and haul away your old fence on every replacement, priced per foot on your written estimate. Clean-up is one of the things customers mention most in reviews.
